Feywild inspiration

Building your first Feywild village

One corner of a garden, one afternoon, and a village that can be lifted away without leaving a trace.

Miniature village of wooden cottages and a stone bridge among moss and ferns

A first village does not need to be large. A shaded corner about the size of a bath towel is plenty: one dwelling, one path, one small gathering place.

Choose a spot that already drains well and that nobody walks across. Rest every piece on the ground or on its own base — never nail, screw, wire or glue anything to a tree, and never dig into roots.

Then leave it, and come back. The best part of a Feywild village is noticing what has changed: moss creeping up a wall, a leaf on a bridge, a lantern that needs straightening after rain.
